Impact Assessment

Impact assessment is about proving the value of involvement in achieving positive outcomes for residents, communities and housing organisations. This is an annual requirement for housing associations and recommended practice for all housing organisations under the Audit Commission’s Key Line of Enquiry.

Most involvement is driven by a desire for change and improvement. So it’s not enough just to show that you’ve done things to involve residents (for example, meetings, consultation, projects and events) – you have to show what’s changed as a result.

If you haven’t got the time or capacity to do the impact assessments you’d like, or you are unclear about how to design and undertake Impact Assessments, we can provide expert help and support to ensure your assessments feed into involvement priorities and drive continuous improvement.
